SURF SPOTS
Here is a break down of some of the best surf breaks we have on this amazing coastline. These are not all of our surf spots but we will leave the enjoyment of the exploration for you.
1. Pirates Cove Beach

This beach has some fun waves with much less of a crowd than other breaks. Great place to learn but can also wall up on low tide. Also the best beach for skimboarding and chilling out.

Directions & Parking: Directly across from Summer Sessions Surf Shop on route 1A. All free parking on the side of the street
2. Jenness Beach
Beach Weather
This beach break is suitable for beginners and better surfers. Parking is right in front of the beach. The beach is visible from the road and will have large crowds. So spread out and be safe please. Can be better at higher tides.
Sawyers beach is just south of Jenness on the same beach with the same break characteristics except less crowded and no parking. Located directly across from eel pond.
Cable Road beach is just north of Jenness on the same beach with the same break characteristics slightly less crowded and some free road parking.

Directions & Parking: Almost 4 miles north of the Wall on 1A. 2.5 miles south of Summer Sessions. Metered and free road parking.
3. Rye on the Rocks

This will be extremely crowded when the surf is good. Plus there is one peak for take offs. There is no sand here it is all rock. This is primarily a left. Great wave when it is breaking. It can hold bigger storm size.

4. The Wall (North Beach)

The Wall is quite a nice beach break that can accommodate bigger crowds. Still, it gets crowded, especially in the summer. Jenness beach is a nice alternative if the crowds are overwhelming or when the tide is high and pushing up onto the rocks.

Best Wind Direction: NW to WSW
Best Tide: Mid tide, rising or falling
Surfable Break Size: Knee and up. The Wall is usually a little bigger than many of the breaks in the area.
Bottom Type: Mostly sand and some rocks
Hazards: Rocks at High tide
Localism: None
Directions & Parking: On 1A. Metered (enforced in the summer) and plenty of it (though it does fill up).
